Mac Addict
I quickly did the Mac Addiction test to see how much of an mac addict I am. It came up with a score of 81%, which is amazing as I have no iPhone and only have been using macs since 2005. What is your score?

The day before BarcampLondon3 we met up with some Germans somewhere in London and had a fun walk around the Thames. The photos can be found below.
A couple of Germans tried to play Werewolf last weekend at a BarCamp in Germany, but bumped into the issues of figuring out what the rules were. The moderator was a guy that had only played Werewolf once with us (and got killed the first night) so he ran into some issues.
So, now here it is, we decided to set up a whole wiki, a bit like a wikia wiki, covering everything related to Werewolf. I am planning to add some stuff myself tomorrow, but for now I would like to invite anyone to add stuff. Please remember to keep FACT from FICTION and not just insert tactics into rules.
So, I just had my Yahoo Pipes talk here at BarcampLondon3 at Google. It was basically a recap of this blog post, with a nice question and answer session afterwords. Cool thing though is that Tom Morris made a video of my talk and posted it to Blip.TV.
Beware that this tutorial is slightly unmaintained. Images are lost thanks to my hosting provider, and my own lifestream has since been changed to work with a Symfony backend. To understand Yahoo Pipes though, the text can still provide a good insight.
So, as you might have noticed I build my own little copy of a Lifestream, much like Jeremy Keith (Adactio) did on his website. Although it is fun to build a lifestream, it isn’t the simplest thing to do, so I took a different approach to use mine and build one using Yahoo Pipes.
The cool thing of using Yahoo Pipes is that my Lifestream is all Javascript+HTML and no server side logic (a.k.a. PHP). I gave a little talk during BarcampBerlin2 explaining what I did, but in the next few paragraphs I will hopefully explain with a bit more detail how it was exactly done, and also focus on some quirks of Yahoo Pipes that I had to work around.
As some of you might know, a popular game to play during BarCamps is the game of Werewolf. Werewolf is a very social mind game (based on the Mafia game), where a group of villagers go to bed at night to find that the werewolves ate one of them when they wake up. So, as a revenge, the villagers decide to lynch one of their fellows who they suspect to be a werewolf. This goes on until either all the werewolves get lynched, or all villagers get eaten during the night. Obviously there is basically no way the villagers can know who the werewolves are which makes it a very fun and mind-fucking game to play.
So I wanted to get some special cards for a long time now that assign all the players their character, and I was actually planning to use Moo-cards for this, just as some other people had done. I didn’t want to order 100 cards though so I was in a pickle. Imagine my surprise when I found actual real Werewolf cards in an ordinary game shop in The Netherlands! 24 nice cards for only €9 (£6.5)!
There are some weird characters in the game which we will probably never use, but if you go to the Flickr photo and take a look at the notes you will see what every character is supposed to be.
I am at the Essential Mediatech Conference today, organized by Library House, and quite similar to their earlier Essential Web conference I attended a while back. I must say, it is quite interesting as I am less familiar with these technologies and marketing strategies, let alone the companies. For more in dept posts go to FourStarters.com as I will be live-blogging all day.
