So, I finally arrived back in The Netherlands after more than a week in Berlin. The barcamp, the web2expo, and all the extra events were very entertaining and I would love to do this again. For now I just finished uploading all the photos to Flickr. Bellow are some of the general tourist-in-Berlin photos.


Zo, we zijn eindelijk weer terug in Nederland na een week rondhobbelen Berlijn. Barcamp, de web2expo en alle andere activiteiten waren erg vermakelijk en ik wil zeker nog een keer terug. IK heb zojuist alle fotos geupload naar Flickr. Hieronder een slideshow met een paar van de standaard touristen photos.

As lame as conferences are, people with an expo pass only aren’t allowed into most of the parties. So as a response to the Web2Expo’s Foo-party the guys from Plazes and Netvibes decided to organize a Bar-party in quite an exclusive club in Berlin. Free wine and a damn good crowd made sure it was the better party of the 2 probably. Melinda was networking all night, making herself far more useful than we (Reinier, Alper and me) did. No photos sorry, didn’t bring my camera.

As anyone was supposed to, I gave a presentation yesterday during Barcamp Berlin. I decided to give a quick how-to about using Yahoo Pipes to make a lifestream like this. In the end I think it would have been more interesting to just have talked about Yahoo Pipes in general as the most people didn’t get what and how Yahoo Pipes works. Below are the slides I used.


Zoals gewoonlijk is tijdens Barcamp heb ik gisteren ook hier in Berlijn een presentatie gehouden. Ik had besloten om even kort uit te leggen hoe je Yahoo Pipes kan gebruiken om een “lifestream” te maken zoals deze hier. Ik denk dat ik ook gewoon in het algemeen over Yahoo Pipes had kunnen praten waarschijnlijk omdat niemand er erg veel ervaring mee had. Hieronder zijn de slides.

So, we finally arrived at Barcamp Berlin 2 today, and it’s really busy. Went to a few interesting talks just now, but mainly I’m preparing my own talk on Yahoo Pipes. The wifi SUCKS so I hope it still works when I need to demo my lifestream.

Zo, we zijn eindelijk aangekomen op Barcamp Berlin 2, en het is echt druk hier. We zijn al naar wat leuke praatjes geweest, maar ik zit vooral tegelijk mn eigen presentatie over Yahoo Pipes voor te bereiden. Het draadloos internet is gaar dus MSN en Yahoo messenger werken niet. Ik hoop dat het in ieder geval werkt als ik straks mn app wil demoen.
