I've read up until nine. After book seven it takes a turn for the worse.

I would recommend Guy Kay who has a proven track record of finishing his epic fantasy series.
And currently I'm waiting for George RR Martin to finish a Song of Ice and Fire (which will actually happen in the foreseeable future) when it's done it will be brilliant. I've read the first three books or so, and it's the best fantasy I've read (and I've read some).

How much have you read? AS you might have noticed I am already at book 5, and that was brilliant, so I'm really inclined to continue.

Don't get sucked into the WoT. There is better fantasy to be had if you are so inclined.
