I also forgot to add one section to my blog post: projects. I recently added a projects section to my site and one of the things I noticed that's good to have is something to SHOW to your potential employer. It's so much more easier to prove you're valuable when you have something to show. Yeah it is definitely a pain to write, but in the end you have to realize that most recruiters don’t read much further beyond that bit.
