Photo of the Day - Work

Posted on October 13th, 2008

So I start at my new job tomorrow. All excited and looking forward to gain some experience at a web agency, working in a team, doing things I love. It still all feels a bit like stepping into the unknown, which is why I chose this photo of a sunset as the image of the day. Tomorrow will be a new and exciting day full of new possibilities and opportunities.

Photo of the Day - Moo Stickers

Posted on October 8th, 2008

More than a year ago Moo announced their StickerBooks, and shortly after that I started the Flickr group for this little funny stickers. Now we have over 400 photo entries and 150 members. It’s not the most active group but sometimes it can be quite funny to see what people do with the Moo Stickers.

Photo of the Day - Great Photographers

Making great photos relies on a lot of things: the technology, the technique, the experience. But one of the most important things is to learn from, and share your knowledge with friends. If you look at my contacts list on Flickr you can see I share my photos with quite a few people. Below is a photo of Alper by Eelke, two of my Dutch friends that love photography too.

Photo of the Day - 50mm 1.8

Posted on October 5th, 2008

So I have been playing a lot with the new Nikkor 50mm F1.8 lens that I got on eBay. One of the shots I made is the shot below that I made in Portobello Road. You can get almost everything in the Portobello Market and I hope that this photo caught the essence of the market a little bit.

You can see more photos take by this lens by others inĀ this Flickr group.

Photo of the Day - Pirates!

Posted on October 4th, 2008

September 19th is International Pirate Day and last month loads of geeks around the globe dressed up again pretending to be mighty pirates that sail the seven seas. Below is an image of Matt Harris doing precisely this at Norman Francis’ wedding. Norm swears he didn’t pick the date for that reason but I think we all know we can’t trust the lad!

Avast!
